Modern Slavery Statement

Mac Campers Ltd, modern slavery statement for the financial year ended January 2022 our business, structure and supply chains.

This statement, made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, sets out the approach taken by Mac Campers Ltd to understand whether slavery, servitude, forced labour and/or human trafficking (together “Modern Slavery”) exists in our supply chain, and the actions undertaken to eliminate it.

Our business

Mac Campers are a rental company for campervans. We operate only in the UK.

Our structure

Mac Campers Ltd is a private limited company, with a small Board of Directors.

Our supply chains and workforce recruitment

Mac Campers Ltd works with a range of suppliers who provide goods and services across a number of different categories, such as, vehicle supply, conversion materials, IT and telecoms, marketing, legal and other services. Therefore, we have close relationships with our suppliers and good visibility of our supply chain.

We have considered the exposure of Mac Campers Ltd to slavery and human trafficking risk, taking in to account:

  • Limited direct and supply chain operations in countries with a high prevalence of modern slavery, informed by third-party external sources including the Global Slavery Index;
  • Skilled nature of the activities and roles undertaken across the Company, and the skill set and qualifications required to perform these activities, reducing our exposure to temporary or low-skilled agency employment;
  • The application of our Company policies and processes, including procurement processes;
  • All suppliers must comply with applicable international and national laws and standards in relation to labour practices and human rights, including slavery and human trafficking legislation

On this basis, we consider our exposure to modern slavery to be low, but we will continue to monitor and review our policies, practices and supplier network.

Our policy

The Company will comply with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 and aims to achieve this by our intention to identify and mitigate risk in the following ways (But not limited to):-

  • More stringent vetting and investigation of our supply chain (contractors, sub-contractors, policies, contracts etc.).
  • We encourage the reporting of concerns and the protection of whistle blowers.
  • The company will not knowingly support or deal with any business involved in modern slavery.
  • We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. We expect all those in our supply chain and contractors comply with our values.

This statement and policy we view as a live document and will play a central part in informing all our business activities.
