The Privacy Policy-Mac Campers operates an online platform which facilitates the rental of motorhomes through its website www.maccampers.com and any other domains that may be added in the future (jointly referred to as: “the website”).
To provide and offer its services, Mac Campers processes certain personal data as set out in this Privacy Policy.

1. Who is Mac Campers and how can I contact Mac Campers?

2. Why does Mac Campers process personal data?
Mac Campers processes personal data in order to provide the services via its website and for the purposes described below. Your personal data is required and you entitle us to use your personal data:
To create an account: your contact details (i.e. first name, middle name, surname, mobile phone number, e-mail full address, gender, date of birth and country) to create an account with Mac Campers.
To make a booking: your Contact Details and payment details (i.e. IBAN account number and account holder name and-or credit card details) are required to make a booking with Mac Campers, to verify if you meet the requirements (such as age category) and to process payments (“Reservation Data”). Mac Campers doesn’t store any credit card details.
To agree to a rental agreement: contact details of the hirer, the car’s license plate number, and geolocation (”Rental Data”), are required to enter into a rental agreement and into an insurance agreement.
In addition to the above, your personal data may be used for the following purposes:
Local law compliance: to comply with applicable law, Mac Campers may be required to process all your personal data for other purposes than set out in this agreement, such as law enforcement and to meet valid court orders;
Fraud detection: to prevent fraud and misuse, and to keep frauds, scammers and other criminals away, Mac Campers processes your personal data for fraud detection. Note, if we detect or we have reasonable grounds to believe that any fraud, scam or criminal activity is attributable to you, we will process your personal data to prevent your future use of our service.
Support services: to provide customer support we may collect and share your personal data to respond to your questions, including helping you to with any issues which may arise regarding a booking.
Information notices: to send information notices (not being marketing communications) required to provide the services (such as system notifications and text messages regarding the booking. Mac Campers may also send you information relating to a booking and a questionnaire or review form after you have made a booking.
Communication and reviews: Mac Campers may post user experiences on its website and social media accounts providing limited data of its users.
Data aggregation: to minimize the processing of personal data, Mac Campers may aggregate or encrypt your personal data to create anonymous data which cannot be linked to a specific person.
Analyses and testing: to analyse how registered customers use the website and the Mac Campers services, to test new services and tools, and to secure, improve and optimise the website.
Marketing: to send you marketing communications, such as newsletters, the likes of which you can opt-out at any time. 3. Under what circumstances are Mac Campers able to disclose my personal data to third parties?
In order to deliver our Services, Mac Campers may share your Contact details with Third Party service providers. With these parties we agree in a Data Processing Agreement your data will be processed with great care. These parties will only use your data when necessary, to deliver their services and not for any other purposes. These third parties use your data for: payment services, bookkeeping, hosting, data storage, communication, marketing, website optimization, user or vehicle checks, insurance solutions, or give insight into our own data. These parties are defined in legal terms as “Data Processors”.
Competent authorities: We will share your personal data when we in good faith believe it is necessary for us to do so in order to comply with a legal obligation under applicable law, or respond to a valid legal process, such as a search warrant, a court order, prevention, detection or prosecution of criminal offenses, fraud or a subpoena.
We also will share your personal data where we, in good faith, believe that it is necessary for the purpose of our own, or a third party’s legitimate interest relating to national security, law enforcement, litigation, criminal investigation, protecting the safety of any person, or to prevent death or imminent bodily harm, providing that we deem that such interest is not overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms requiring the protection of your personal data.
Business partners: Mac Campers can integrate the services of its partners into the website or offer partners the opportunity to offer their products and services on the website, to help its business partners to market their services.
Mac Campers can hand over your data to third parties in case of a company merger, company restructuring, in case of a sale or a bankruptcy. If required under applicable law, Mac Campers will ask for your permission in advance.

4. How can I access my rights, view, change and delete my personal data?

Mac Campers respects your rights of access, correction and objection. To exercise your rights, to be informed of the personal data Mac Campers processes about you, or to change, update and delete personal data, please contact Mac Campers at admin@maccampers.com . Mac Campers will process such requests without undue delay, at least within 4 weeks of receiving such a request, or as otherwise required to by applicable law.
If it is not clear to Mac Campers which personal data you wish to view, change or delete, Mac Campers may, without undue delay, ask you to specify your request in more detail. Mac Campers will suspend the processing of your request until it has received your (detailed) specification. Mac Campers will always send you a confirmation after your request has been processed.
As soon as possible after receipt of your request, Mac Campers will stop the use of your personal data for the purposes you object to, or – in the case of a request to change or delete personal data – change or delete the relevant personal data, unless meeting such request would breach applicable law or a legitimate business interest of Mac Campers.
